Our warm and caring educators promote a culture of kindness, respect, and love of learning at ICP. They set a tone of exploration and encouragement for the children, and and inspire parents to thoughtfully develop their own parenting philosophy.
Gina Goldstein
Our Co-director and Teacher of the 3/4, Pre 3 and Toddler classes. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Washington and 18 years of experience in early childhood education focused on children 1-5 years old. She enjoys listening to parents and working to guide them through various stages and challenges while raising their kids. Often, Gina references her husband and two children as examples in parenting moments during class parenting conversations. She is passionate about play based education, the cooperative school philosophy and working in a supportive environment where families learn and grow together.
Caroline Chastain
Our Co-director and teacher of the Pre-K and Mixed-Age classes is Caroline Chastain. She has been member of the community since 2004, first as a parent and later as an educator. She is a certified teacher and has experience in elementary education, early childhood education, and Psychology. She also holds a Masters’ Degree in Educational Administration from Seattle University.
Caroline experienced being a co-op parent at ICP with her own son and is pleased to continue her passion to work with students and families. She believes strongly in the importance of building a better community for our children, teaching them about the world around them and preparing them not only to be students, but participating members of their neighborhoods. All of this begins with our families in preschool and impacts the broader community in which we live.
Come join the fun as we grow, learn, and play each day!
